Mexican Hognose Snake (Heterodon kennerlyi)

The Mexican Hognose snake is a non-venomous/sedentary/heavy bodied snake. They are gray to tan in color and have dark checkerboard blotches down its back and sides. The underside of the tail and stomach are black with irregular yellow or orange blotches.

Origin: Captive Bred
Size: Adults range between 15-25 inches
Natural Range: Dry/sesert surroundings. Southwestern United States and Mexico
Food: Fish (Frozen thawed tilapia)
Lifespan: Up to 15-20 years in captivity with proper care.
