The Mexican Hognose snake is a non-venomous/sedentary/heavy bodied snake. They are gray to tan in color and have dark checkerboard blotches down its back and sides. The underside of the tail and stomach are black with irregular yellow or orange blotches.

Natural Range: Dry/sesert surroundings. Southwestern United States and Mexico
